  • NVQ Academy highly recommends that Foster Carers should consider the QCF Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce (Social Care Pathway) as a professional qualification.
  • Any foster carer who has completed his/her induction is a likely candidate for the QCF Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce.
  • The QCF Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce is also recommended for your more experienced foster carers.
  • Foster carers who have previous fostering experience – or indeed working in other residential or school environments - will have accumulated even more knowledge, skills and experience relevant to the QCF Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce.
  • From September 2013 NVQ Academy new initiative to combine the Training, Support and Development Standards for Foster Carers (TSD) with the QCF Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce is designed to save time and money – qualifying foster carers quickly and efficiently by using just one portfolio of evidence for two qualifications.
