Why does NVQ Academy go to the expense of providing training FREE for a Work-Based Assessor?

It is our belief that Assessors who are available 24 hours a day are far more effective than visiting Assessors. We – and our customers – invest in a “Development” culture. With the advantage of a Work-Based Assessor – no evidence opportunities are lost simply because the Peripatetic Assessor is ‘only visiting for 2 hours on a Thursday’.

Isn’t it easier to send someone in to do the Assessing?

Sending in an assessor who is not a member of staff changes the whole dynamic of the work environment.  When a stranger is present everyone acts totally differently. This makes it impossible to assess how the candidate actually does her/his job on a day to day basis. For some of our customers– bringing strangers into sensitive client group situations is problematic and in some cases un-safe for all concerned.

How much travel is involved?

Absolutely none at all. All Assessment documentation is provided and verified online. Support for the Assessor (and candidate if necessary) is provided via Video, Telephone , Zoom etc.

Does this mean no time-owing and no travel expenses?

Yes – and don’t forget you will not need to bring in “Agency cover” or “overtime” cover either. The whole qualification takes place to suit your working environment.

Can I still get Vocational Qualifications for free from other providers?

How many people can do vocational qualifications with NVQ Academy? 

We ask that a minimum number of people are involved during the time we work with you. Our prices are kept low on the understanding that the allotted Work-Based Assessor will eventually work with several candidates to completion. This is a big ask – but it is not worth our while to train an assessor and carry out everything for you on-site (with no travel or other expenses charged) unless you are willing to commit the time, staff, money and resources to allow us to enable you to make it happen. How would you sum up what NVQ Academy has to offer? 

NVQ Academy guarantees that your normal day to day operations will not be disrupted. Life will go on as normal and your staff will perform their duties according to your own in-house training and development. We will train one of your members of staff to help, mentor, analyse and assess the skill and attitudes of your workforce using naturalistically occurring activities.

We do not send strangers in to upset the routines – everything happens totally in-house. None of your staff will need to take time off or study leave – the whole package is completely work-based.

We offer streamlined and customised online paperwork to match your Environmental requirements – and cut down Assessment time to an absolute minimum. We do not cut corners – but we ensure your workforce do not indulge in unnecessary and pointless activities. Your valued support staff will receive a Nationally Recognised Qualification including a Certificate to prove beyond doubt to you – and everybody else – that they are a professionally competent workforce.
